The Washington Commanders visit the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday afternoon in a battle featuring the highest betting total on the NFL odds board.
The Commanders have been a relatively high-scoring team in the past two weeks, with kicker Austin Seibert putting in work.
Find out why my Commanders vs. Cardinals predictions and NFL picks expect Seibert to stay hot on Sunday, September 29.
Commanders vs Cardinals prediction
My best betAustin Seibert Over 6.5 kicking points (-115 at BetMGM)
My analysis
Betting on kickers may not be the most exciting thing in the world, but Washington Commanders kicker Austin Seibert has been strong through two games with the team.
Washington cut kicker Cade York after Week 1 and Seibert has gone a perfect 8-for-8 through two weeks with five extra points as well.
The Commanders were able to move the ball in Seibert’s team debut in Week 2 against the Giants but could not find the end zone. That resulted in Seibert scoring all 21 points for Washington in the form of seven field goals; four from 20-29 yards, two from 30-39 yards, and one from 40-49 yards.
The journeyman kicker followed that up with a 42-yard field goal and five extra points in an offensive explosion against the Bengals last week.
Cade York missed two field goals in Week 1 before getting released, and Seibert has gone Over 6.5 points in each of his two games with the Commanders. Look for that to continue in a dome vs. the Arizona Cardinals, as the total for this game is set at 49.

Kicking props are not eligible for SGPs, so I’ll start this one by backing the Commanders against the spread. Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels has been a surprising star for Washington, and I’m expecting him to continue to shine in Arizona.
Next up, I’ll take the Over, as Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison Jr. will have their opportunities vs. a weak Washington defense too.
Running back Brian Robinson Jr. is splitting some time now with Austin Ekeler in the Commanders backfield but he’s still been the leading back. He’s scored in two of three games and the Cardinals have allowed a running back to score in each of the last two weeks, including both David Montgomery (rushing) and Jahmyr Gibbs (receiving) last week.
